A little for you… And you… And you…
The Temptations had it right when they were singing this tune… Today we have breath in our lungs and coffee in our hands. What puts a pep into your step and gives you sunshine on a cloudy day?
Happy Monday! We’re back with an exciting new stamp set to share with you. Angelica designed Fly Away Friends for Pretty Pink Posh, and it includes cute critters, hot air balloons, and encouraging sentiments.
With so many sentiments it was hard to choose just one for the cards I created. Friends, we don’t have to choose just one. So many times I forget about the inside of my cards. Stamping a second phrase adds the perfect touch to each greeting.
For the airplane card, I chose the “flying by” sentiment that came with three dots just waiting for an ending. When the card is opened the second part of the phrase, “happy birthday,” is revealed.
Don’t worry if your sentiments don’t fit together that perfectly. For the second card, I chose two phrases that had the same theme. The “dream big” and “adventure” sentiments create an encouraging message for a recent grad or someone taking on a new job. I even added a few stars near the inside sentiment to coordinate with the front design.
This simple step completed each card and added something special. We’re making it a habit to decorate the inside of our handmade greetings as well as the outside. Is this something you already do or a tip you can incorporate into your crafting routine?
Good morning, friends! I’m back and ready to share another stamp set Angelica designed for Pretty Pink Posh – Camping Friends. I squealed with delight when I saw the cute critters and hope you do too!
Are they not the cutest critters in the forest? The creative options with this set are endless. You could have them peeking out from behind the tent or garbage can, sitting on the log, or stacked on top of each other. I chose to have them peeking out from inside the tent. They just look so cozy!
Camping Friends comes with matching cutting dies, which makes scene building a breeze. I stamped, colored, and cut a large batch of images. After that, assembling the cards was easy. I chose to keep the backgrounds simple to accommodate the busy scenes.
For the first card, I added a small strip of Distress Ink as grass to ground the images. While this card could be given for a variety of occasions, I chose the ‘Best Wishes’ greeting for an upcoming wedding gift.
After adding the images to the card, I stamped a few small details with black ink. The grass, leaves, and stars add detail to the scenes without stealing the show.
I can’t wait to create more cards with this adorable stamp set. You can find Camping Friends and the coordinating dies here. Which critter is your favorite?
