We’re back with another colorful project for you. Today, it’s easy watercolor tags that you can use on cards, gifts, and other items.
For the base I used this file from the Silhouette Design Store. However, you can recreate this tutorial with any pre-made tags or cutting file you have on hand.
I added a wash of color with a flat brush. It’s important to remember that watercolor always dries lighter than what you start out with. To build up the intensity once the first layer was dry, I added a second layer of wash to smaller area.
The tags can really be that simple and ready to use after the watercolor is dry. I took it one step further by drawing doodles on the tags with a large black marker.
Does doodling on your tags intimidate you? Don’t worry! Our stamp sets have lots of shapes and scribbles for you to choose from. Simply ink the stamp and press down on the tags for the same look without fear. Designs from Mixed Media Greetings and He Is Good would work perfectly for this project.
Just like that you’re ready to decorate gifts, favors, or cards with these bright watercolor tags!
