If you’ve been following along with the blog lately, you know we’ve been sharing recent stamps sets that Angelica has illustrated. Today is no exception with Bold Blooms by Pretty Pink Posh.
I must admit this set intimidated me at first. There are a lot of small components, and I was unsure how to fill a space with them. Creating a background or collage was my first idea, but that is always my first idea. Then it hit me! Let’s bundle them all together and create an eye catching focal point.
After stamping the outlines of the flowers, I stamped the filler with colorful Distress Inks. Having the color layer option helps produce this many florals quick and easy. The coordinating cutting dies speed up the process as well.
To create a big, in-your-face, joyful focal point, I arranged the florals in a wreath. Foam squares were added under every layer to add dimension. I flipped through other stamp sets by Pretty Pink Posh and found the perfect sentiment in the Bear Hugs set. Clear Nuvo Crystal Drops and a vellum background completed the card. Keeping other card components minimal allowed the florals to shine.
We’d love to hear your thoughts on this new stamp set, Bold Blooms, and how you would arrange them on a project. After completing this card, I realize there’s never a reason to be intimidated by smaller stamps. When bundled together they make a large impact!
