Good morning! I’m excited to bring you two projects using the same technique and stamps. The end result comes down to whether you need to throw together a greeting quickly or you have some extra time to play.
The shapes in our He Is Good stamp set create fun patterns and gorgeous flowers. I used those for both the card and tag to create two similar but different projects. Gather together colorful inks (and this set found in our shop) to try it yourself!
For the tag, I combined the images to stamp two flowers. The leaves, circles, and centers were stamped with different shades of the same colors. This makes the images look like different stamps when they’re exactly the same. I love any way to stretch your stamp collection.
The project took less than five minutes which makes it an easy way to throw together a last minute greeting. Add it to a freezer meal, gift card, or wrapped present.
The card was more involved and took more time than the tag. However, the same process was used. I used the same inks and stamps, stamping the flowers multiple times on a piece of white cardstock. Additionally, I stamped the center dots in pink and black ink to fill in the white space. The design reminded me of the eccentric wallpaper patterns in my grandma’s house growing up.
I added the cardstock to a kraft notecard and added strips of cardstock for the sentiment. This design allows you to add a handwritten note to the inside.
Both designs received a stamped hello for a finishing touch. I created the greeting with black ink and Angelica’s Solid Alphas. You could personalize the greeting with the recipient’s name or other word to express your thoughts. It’s one of the many reasons I love alpha sets.
Which design is more your style?
